UW Medical Center-Northwest - Emergency Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Night Shift Registered Nurse.

WORK SCHEDULE

90% FTE / 36 hours per week

3x12 shift schedule

Night shifts (7:00pm-7:30am)

Rotating weekend shifts required

ABOUT OUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

We are a 22-bed Level IV Trauma Center

We consistently hold 1:4 nurse to patient ratios

We provide specialized treatment for cardiac, trauma, and stroke patients

We have been recognized for providing one of the fastest times to treatment for cardiac patients in the Seattle region

Many of our RNs are Daisy Award Winners

Our RNs work in close partnership with physicians, phlebotomists, and medical assistants. Our Emergency Department is fast-paced and a great match for RNs interested in supporting a diverse population from our local and regional communities. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive, collaborate environment where everyone's contributions are recognized.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Assesses and triages patients upon arrival

Administers medications and fluids

Monitors heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs

Stabilizes patients with life-threatening injuries and illnesses

Responds quickly when emergent issues arise

Works alongside emergency department physicians, cardiac care professionals, social workers, and paramedics

Provides personalized patient care with compassion, dignity, and respect

REQUIREMENTS

1 year of recent RN work experience in an Emergency Department

Active ACLS

Active BLS

Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
