Overview

The Private Client Relationship Officer reports directly to the Private Client Manager. The Private Client Relationship Officer proactively supports and expands existing client relationships through independently identifying and developing new Business & Consumer Banking relationships through activities that primarily target prospective high-net-worth clients. Banking products and services supporting client relationships include interest-bearing and non-interest-bearing deposit account products complemented by a full suite of treasury management and payment processing services to support the financial management needs of both consumer & business clients. Where appropriate, the Private Client Relationship Officer will support the borrowing needs of consumer & business relationships by referring clients to the Bank's C&I, CRE and residential lending resources. Private Client Relationship Officers will deliver "white glove service" to deepen client trust & loyalty by creating a seamless experience across all touchpoints while providing the right service or product to meet individuals' needs.

Responsibilities

Identify new business and consumer client prospectsLeverage all COIs to increase business and consumer banking opportunitiesResponsible for the attainment of non-interest and interest bearing depositsAttainment of assigned deposit goalsWork independently to develop new client relationshipsCoordinate with related departments to review client situations and determine appropriate products and services to offer and to deliver an integrated and seamless experience for high-net-worth clientsBuild a quality external network of business and consumer relationships within targeted marketsProvide end-to-end comprehensive guidance and banking solutions to clients by uncovering their consumer and/or business priorities and matching them with financial solutions to meet their needsStay abreast of changing trends that impact applicable markets served by potential clients and translate those trends into opportunitiesProvide extensive personalized service to clients to address all applicable banking needsEstablish exceptional rapport with clients to identify needs and opportunities, present product solutions, overcome objections and close the sale by asking for the businessParticipate in community activities that match clients' interests and allow for opportunities to expand business and personal relationshipsRepresent the bank at various civic and community functions to enhance its image and develop additional business with clientsWork closely with new and existing business and retail clients to understand their financial needs, forging trustful relationshipsMay assist with the development of new business by participating in client and/or prospect calls and presentationsEstablish relationships with high-net-worth clients to monitor financial situation and identify client needs resulting in new sales opportunitiesIn the performance of respective duties, must maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security and bank policiesAchieve outstanding performance by providing superior relationship banking and the "white glove" client experienceComplete any additional duties assigned by the Private Client Manager

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalentMinimum of three to five years related experience or equivalentProven success in consultative outside sales in financial services, business-to-business sales, or small business bankingIs passionate about outside sales and enjoys spending time prospectingSelf-motivated to enhance existing relationships and exceed sales goalsAble to analyze financial conditions and needs of clients and industry trendsCan understand and interpret financial statements and cash flow analysisHas excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership abilityStrong listening and client experience skills; skilled in making outbound callsAbility to effectively engage with clients and identify needs to enhance the client relationshipAbility to problem solve and provide solutions to client issuesDesire to build strong relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaborationSelf-motivated, confident and the ability to multitask effectivelyWell-developed negotiation, project, and account management skillsCreative, flexible, and innovative team playerCommitment to excellence and high standardsAbility to work with all levels of management
