POSITION SUMMARY

Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking an Intermediate Cyber Analyst/Modeler (Operations Research Analyst) to formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision-making, policy formulation, and other managerial functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):

As an Intermediate Cyber Analyst/Modeler, you will analyze data and information from multiple sources to conduct environmental preparation, respond to information requests, and submit intelligence collection and production requirements in support of planning and operations. You will be responsible for analyzing and developing systems security integration, testing, operations, and maintenance. Additionally, you will support senior positions and perform functional duties under their oversight. Your role will involve collecting and analyzing data to develop decision support software, services, or products, as well as developing and optimizing time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation.

You will perform assessments of systems and networks within the NE or enclave, identifying deviations from acceptable configurations or policies, and measuring the effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities. Furthermore, you will conduct independent comprehensive assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements to determine overall effectiveness as defined in NIST 800-37. Analyzing the security of new or existing computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs and providing actionable results will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSMust possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance.3+ years of experience in cyber analysis and/or modeling.BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution,

CIN A-531-1900 Joint Cyber Analysis Course (JCAC), CIN J-3B-0440, A-150-1980, A-150-1202, A-150-1203, A-150-1250 IP BASIC, Intermediate Cyber Core (CTN), NEC 746A Information Systems Administrator, NEC H13A Navy Interactive ON-NET OperatorCompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA PenTest+, CompTIA Security+, GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT), GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)

Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)Skilled in collecting data from various cyber defense resources.Ability to recognize and categorize types of vulnerabilities and associated attacks.Skilled in performing packet-level analysis.Experience conducting vulnerability scans and recognizing security system vulnerabilities.Experience using penetration testing tools and techniques.Skilled in using network analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities (e.g., fuzzing, nmap).Skilled in determining how a security system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, or the environment affect outcomes.Ability to discern protection needs (i.e., security controls) of information systems and networks.Experience in designing countermeasures to identify security risks.Ability to secure test plan design (e.g., unit, integration, system, acceptance).Experience in using code analysis tools.
