We are seeking Maintenance Technicians who must be willing to work all shifts at our North Baltimore, Ohio Plant.
Essential Duties:
• Serves as working lead mechanic for all equipment repairs.
• Overhaul and install new equipment.
• Follow mechanical and electrical safety and lock out procedures.
• Needs to read blueprints of Hydraulic, Electrical, and Pneumatics.
• Able to troubleshoot evaluate, and repair machinery and equipment Installations including motors, pumps, drives, controls, gear assemblies, and other related machinery.
• Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel in order to exchange technical information.
• Reads and interprets work orders, drawings/blueprints to determine requirements.
• Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
• Takes the lead and initiates resolution of technical, unusual or complex problems or issues.
• Expertise working with precision tools, such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and optical and laser alignment tooling.
Secondary Duties:
• Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
• Trouble-shoot and analyze causes of equipment failures and recommend solutions for problem solving.
• Utilize specialized equipment to ensure repaired equipment meets manufacturer's specifications.
• Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools and equipment
• Plans and performs work through knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, wiring specifications, National Electrical code.
• Read and understand electrical schematics and effectively trouble-shoot electrical controls.
• Complete any required documentation of paperwork as required for plant maintenance system.
Minimum Requirements:
• Previous verifiable maintenance experience, preferably 2 years, basic knowledge if Electricity, Hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus.
• Be able to qualify as an ARC Flash Worker
• Be able to qualify as an Aerial Boom Lift & Platform life worker
Preferred Requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED is required and Journeyman's card or Associate's Degree in related field.
• At least five years of experience in industrial maintenance in manufacturing setting.
• Previous ARC Flash certification
• Previous Aerial Boom & Platform Life certification
• Previous Machine Tool Operation with verifiable experience or certification
• Previous Welding experience with verifiable experience or certification
