Sr. Financial Analyst - Pricing & Reporting

Conducts financial and market analysis for Licensing with a focus on pricing components in General Licensing (GL) Licenses and maximizing revenue. Reviews financial data and licensing agreements to understand trends and communicates opportunities for improvement. Assists management at various stages of licensing market review analysis. Recommends updates to pricing strategies across multiple markets, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing structures.
LOCATIONNashville, TN office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority.

Analytical Functionality- Recommends pricing strategies, policies, and tools to enhance revenue.
- Collaborates with operations, sales, accounting, IT and finance teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives.
- Develops KPI’s to monitor pricing performance, identify trends and opportunities and turn metrics into action.
- Monitors market trends, competitive landscapes and customer insights.
- Utilizes qualitative and quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools to identify opportunities and spear head pricing research and strategy.
- Translates raw financial & operational data into meaningful conclusions.
- Assists in preparation of strategic plans and financial projections.
- Leads market/financial research required to develop new license structures.
- Supports ad hoc analysis requests to support decisions both within Licensing and other departments.
- Gathers, organizes, automates, and presents data for various audiences.
- Converts BMI data from Oracle financials, Azure, SSRS, Salesforce CRM data, and third party data into staged formats for use in financial modeling.
- Works with the reporting team to utilize online reports and dashboards in Salesforce, SSRS, PowerBI, and Business Intelligence platforms to display real time financial models for multiple levels of management.
- Utilizes industry projections and reporting on music use trends to develop recommendations for pricing impacts and alignment with licensing components.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of financial analysis, pricing strategy, and related systems skills.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to create analyses and high-level presentations.
- Data management skills in modern data environments and experience with Excel, SQL, SSRS, PowerBI or Visual Basic to pull data from systems and create data sets for analysis as needed.
- Understanding of Accounting concepts, including revenue recognition and accrual adjustments to review results and project impact.
- Ability to present complex data to various levels of management with the ability to adjust to appropriate audience.
- Problem solving-ability to assess projects and apply the best analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret legal documents and make recommendations for improvement.
- Quantitative skills supporting conclusions with data results.
- Strategic thinker, data-driven pricing expert.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities as needed.
- Ability to organize large amounts of raw data in meaningful summarizations.
SALARY RANGE
The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
