They are responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial information. The Staff Accountant will deliver consistent and accurate information on a timely basis. To be successful in this position, they must be able to display an extremely high level of organizational skills, be able to multi-task and display honesty and integrity when producing, delivering and distributing information. In addition, a high level of confidentiality must be maintained at all times. As our firm continues to grow, success in this role may lead to opportunities for promotion, as it has for many who have excelled on this team.Responsibilities:Review bank accounts and perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of entries and closing balancesRecord cash receipts and cash disbursements for intercompany and other various cash transactionsCollaborate with the Accounting Operations team on accounts payable discrepanciesReview overhead expenses to ensure adherence with company policies and post any applicable reclass/accrual entriesPrepare and record journal entries for payrollReview and maintain balance sheet account schedules on a monthly basisPrepare and distribute month-end financial management reports that analyze trends and performance over time so organizational leaders can make strategic decisionsCreate financial packages for leadership meetingsPrepare and distribute monthly accounts receivable metrics reportsMaintain accuracy of fixed assets subledger and process monthly depreciationCompile reports for year-end process to meet external compliance requirementsAssist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and proceduresAssist management with ad-hoc projects or analysesPerforms other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree1+ years of General Ledger accounting and financial reporting experiencePrevious experience in a service industry preferredKnowledge of accounting principles and practicesKnowledge of financial reportingProficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft OfficeStrong technical accounting skillsStrong organizational and analytical skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentSelf-starter and can demonstrate initiativeAttention to detail and accuracyWhy BohlerBohler provides land development consulting and site design services to owners and developers across all commercial, institutional, and residential markets.
