Job Description
ASRC Federal, Mission Solutions (AFMS) is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.
We are seeking a motivated entry level
Security Specialist
to support the Security Department in administering a comprehensive security program for the protection of classified information, and the protection of personnel, facilities, and assets.
Key Role:
Assist Facility Security Officer (FSO) with overall security program management and NISPOM complianceManage personnel security clearances for new hires and periodic reinvestigations using DoD's JPAS/DISS and e-QIP SystemsProvide training, orientation, briefings/debriefings, awareness training for employees/subcontractorsMaintain, process, coordinate incoming and outgoing visit requestsMaintain, and monitor access control, high security locks, and closed circuit camerasAssist FSO with self- inspection and reviews of security processesEstablish and maintain working relationships with government and internal customersProvide a wide variety of duties in the administration of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other government security requirementsRequirements
Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a Secret clearance or higher (Secret Clearance Preferred)Associate degree or 4 to 5 years of security related experience, preferably in a DoD environmentMust be able to respond to after-hours alarms or emergenciesMust have strong customer service and interpersonal skillsMust have strong written and oral communication skillsMust have working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to work in a complex environment, while prioritizing work and meeting deadlines
