Our client, a leading regional bank with a growing presence in Orlando, is seeking an experienced
SBA Underwriter
to join their dynamic team. This is a
hybrid
position offering the flexibility to work both remotely and on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SBA underwriting, with
5+ years of experience
handling complex SBA loan applications.Key Responsibilities:Review and underwrite SBA loan applications in accordance with the bank's credit policies and SBA guidelines.Analyze financial statements, credit reports, business plans, and other relevant documentation to assess the creditworthiness of loan applicants.Ensure that all SBA loans comply with regulatory requirements and bank policies.Collaborate with business development officers, relationship managers, and other internal teams to structure loans that meet both the clients needs and the banks credit risk parameters.Provide detailed credit analysis and prepare comprehensive credit memos for loan committees.Stay updated on SBA program guidelines, changes, and best practices to maintain compliance and mitigate risk.Participate in loan committee meetings and provide expert guidance on SBA-related matters.Qualifications:5+ years of experience
in SBA underwriting, with a proven track record in processing, analyzing, and approving complex SBA loans.In-depth knowledge of SBA 7(a), 504, and other SBA loan programs.Strong understanding of credit analysis, risk management, and financial documentation.Familiarity with SBA SOPs and other related regulatory guidelines.Exceptional attention to detail, with strong analytical and decision-making skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple loan applications simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
