As a Junior Catastrophe Risk Analyst, you will work together with the Howden Re Broking team to assist in portfolio management and reinsurance decision making.Primary Responsibilities:Providing strong technical and strategic CAT risk management and modeling supportProviding deep understanding of CAT modeling results, assumptions and limitations with vendor and non-vendor modelsImproving analytical processes to achieve greater efficiency and better results for clientsEstablish strong relationships with colleagues, clients and reinsurersCommunicate analytical ideas with multiple audiencesQualifications:Bachelors or advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance or similar analytical majorCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsExperience manipulating, cleaning, and analyzing dataAble to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environmentEffective communicator, both verbal and written (PowerPoint and Word)Experience in data tools (including SQL, Python, VBA, etc) is a plusLegally authorized to work in the USThis is an in person opportunity based in Edina, MN.What we offer:A career that you define.
