Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead, you will:
- Architect, build and maintain excellent software using JavaScript and Node.js.
- Develop and manage well-functioning microservices and databases.
- Design and implement APIs and ensure their robustness, scalability, and security.
- Implement RESTful services.
- Design and develop SaaS solutions that meet business needs.
- Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to manage services and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical leadership and direction.
- Conduct code reviews to uphold high-quality code and manage technical debt.
- Collaborate with the product team to design and launch new features.
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
- Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
- Proven experience with JavaScript, Node.js, microservices, API, REST, SaaS, and GCP.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
- Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, system design, and algorithms.
- Experience with performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, and automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in leading, managing, and mentoring a team of software engineers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
