Job Details

I&E Foreman We are looking for an I&E Foreman to manage and coordinate daily activities related to electrical and instrumentation construction, installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and accuracy of instruments. This role will work closely with the facilities engineering team, vendors, contractors, and operational staff, ensuring all work aligns with safety, regulatory, and company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and execute the installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation, electrical systems, metering, monitoring, and control devices at upstream and midstream oil & gas sites.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation control equipment.
  • Inspect and test instruments and systems using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices to diagnose issues.
  • Install process control instruments such as transmitters, analyzers, controllers, and control valves.
  • Perform related mechanical tasks such as removing and installing small piping and tubing.
  • Test electrical equipment for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Collaborate with contractors on the installation, repair, and replacement of electrical systems including AC/DC motors, PLCs, HMIs, and 480V power systems.
  • Install, examine, and repair electrical wiring, switch boxes, conduits, fiber-optic and coaxial cables, and other electrical components.
  • Properly size and install electrical circuits, including panels, wire, conduit, and related equipment according to CEC and NEC standards.
  • Install and troubleshoot 3-phase systems, control panels, and instrumentation.
  • Manage interactions with contractors for the installation, startup, and repair of automation and process control systems.
  • Submit purchase orders for materials.
  • Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and Management of Change (MOC) activities related to upstream and midstream facilities.
  • Calibrate and repair system components such as sensors, transmitters, and PLCs.
  • Schedule and perform preventive maintenance, function tests, and complete maintenance reports.
  • Review technical manuals and schematics as directed to enhance job performance.
  • Read, interpret, and provide feedback on technical drawings, P&IDs, control narratives, cause-and-effect diagrams, and code specifications.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to operational and field teams.
  • Assist in drafting scopes of work for new construction projects.
  • Aid in budgetary estimations, project bids, and AFE creation.
  • Complete and maintain detailed records such as work orders, calibration logs, and material requests.
  • Refer to manufacturers' manuals and schematics for calibration, testing, and maintenance procedures for measuring and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company health and safety standards and OSHA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or Trade Certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of I&E experience in the industry.
  • Journeyman Electrician or Apprentice certification.
  • Experience with software such as Bluebeam Revu and Autodesk Navisworks Freedom.
  • Strong computer and communication skills for interacting with co-workers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Familiarity with NEC codes and standards.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, and SCADA platforms (e.g., Ignition, Cygnet).

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving habits.
