Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury cases and oversee all aspects of litigation, from inception through resolution.
- Conduct thorough legal research to gather relevant information for cases.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, presenting evidence and arguments in a clear, compelling manner.
- Take and defend depositions, interrogating witnesses, and gathering statements to support case development.
- Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure all case files, documents, and evidence are organized and readily accessible.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law, court procedures, and legal precedents that may impact your cases.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on case progress, and explaining complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure a high level of client service and satisfaction.
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve optimal results for clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to and in good standing with the state bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Trial Attorney.
- Sat first chair at a minimum of 2 trials.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft complex legal documents and present compelling arguments.
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven ability to achieve favorable settlements for clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
