GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Associate Programmer/Analyst has basic proficiency in programming, database knowledge and concepts.As part of the programming team, they are responsible for creating financial reports and data extracts for management and staff.They will assist in the creation of interface screens to collect data or populate forms, test the input for accuracy, and update the core system.Requests may be for new code or revisions to existing code.Also responsible for code documentation and processes to enable the ease of future modifications and troubleshooting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in MIS, or related major, or equivalent work experienceOne (1) year programming experienceAdditional Preferred Education & Experience:

Symitar Power On experienceExperience with Java, JavaScript, HTML, C++Financial industry experienceProgramming experienceExperience with SQL programmingMinimum Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

Basic understanding of programming and logic functionsBasic understanding of databases and database objectsAbility to learn and attain a solid grasp of the PowerOn languageProficient with Microsoft Office software, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Proficient in use of web-based programs and the InternetAbility to deal effectively and courteously with a wide variety of peopleStrong written and verbal communication skillsDetail oriented with strong time management

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:

Requires the employee to sit and stand a majority of the time. Some travel may be necessary for training/conferences.Infrequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. is required.

Must comply with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS:Researches and analyzes submitted requests and data requirements.Interviews customers to drive to solid understanding of user requirements.Writes, revises, troubleshoots, researches, and documents new and existing: Power On code, Jobfiles, and written procedures.Completes assigned work requests (help desk and projects). Gains agreement with customers that request has been tested and satisfied.Trains with internal and external department personnel as needed and acquire working knowledge of the appropriate programs, system processes and departmental procedures.Keeps supervisor apprised of all situations that warrant their attention.Maintains the security of the computer center at all times.Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary range is $23.45 - $30.78/hour.Job Grade, NE-11.Final salary is dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications.
