Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 per year

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our construction projects across various sectors including retail, grocery, restaurant, and commercial. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the construction process, from ground up to tenant improvements, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Construction Superintendent will also play a pivotal role in managing mixed-use and renovation projects, as well as big box and TI (Tenant Improvement) commercial projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Supervise on-site contractors and subcontractors, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are clearly understood and completed efficiently.
• Review and manage project progress, quality of work, and costs, making necessary changes as needed.
• Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project success.
• Lead and manage tenant improvement (TI) projects, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
• Handle on-site emergencies or unexpected project obstacles, implementing effective solutions to minimize delays and costs.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role.
• Proven experience in managing construction projects within the retail, grocery, restaurant, and commercial sectors.
• Solid understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
• Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
• Proficient in interpreting and using construction plans, blueprints, and drawings.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a construction team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety guidelines.
• A stable work history, demonstrating reliability and commitment.
• A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
