A Process Mechanical QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Inspector ensures that mechanical processes and installations comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. The QA/QC Inspector collaborates closely with engineers, contractors, and safety teams to maintain quality standards and deliver projects successfully.Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance (QA)Developing Quality Plans: Create and implement QA plans, procedures, and guidelines to ensure mechanical processes and installations align with project specifications.Vendor Qualification and Inspection: Evaluate and approve suppliers or subcontractors based on their quality and compliance with project standards.Material and Equipment Inspection: Ensure that all mechanical equipment and materials used on-site meet required specifications and standards.Reviewing Designs and Drawings: Check technical drawings, engineering designs, and specifications to ensure that they align with industry codes and regulations.Documentation: Maintain records of all QA activities, including inspection reports, testing data, and certifications.Quality Control (QC)Inspection and Testing: Conduct regular inspections of mechanical equipment, installations, and processes to verify they meet project requirements.Non-Conformance Reporting: Identify any deviations or non-conformances in the process or mechanical systems and report them to ensure corrective actions are taken.Welding and Fabrication Inspections: Oversee welding, pipework, and fabrication activities to ensure they are performed according to standards (e.g., ASME, AWS).Testing Procedures: Monitor mechanical systems testing (e.g., hydrostatic, pneumatic, or load testing) to verify operational performance and compliance.Control of Calibration: Ensure that tools, gauges, and instruments used for inspections are properly calibrated.Compliance and SafetyAdherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO) and relevant codes and regulations.Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all mechanical processes are in line with safety standards to avoid accidents and hazards.Coordination with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment): Collaborate with safety teams to align QA/QC processes with safety procedures and protocols.Coordination and CommunicationCoordination with Engineers and Contractors: Work closely with project engineers, site managers, and contractors to ensure quality control measures are integrated throughout the project.Training and Guiding Teams: Train and guide site teams and subcontractors on quality standards, procedures, and best practices in mechanical processes.Reporting: Regularly report to senior management on quality-related issues, risks, and corrective actions.Project Documentation and CloseoutFinal Inspections and Audits: Perform final inspections of mechanical systems before project handover.Project Documentation: Ensure all necessary QA/QC documentation, including certificates, reports, and testing results, are complete and compliant with project requirements.Punch Lists and Corrective Actions: Identify and address any remaining issues or punch lists before project closeout.In summary, a Process Mechanical QA/QC professional ensures that all mechanical processes, materials, and installations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.Skills Required:

Proven experience as a Mechanical QA/QC Inspector in industries such as construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, or power generation.In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, welding, fabrication, and testing procedures.Familiarity with industry standards and codes (ASME, AWS, API, ISO, etc.).Strong communication and documentation skills.Proficiency in QA/QC tools and software.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Certification in relevant QA/QC standards or mechanical engineering disciplines is a plus.Education / Licenses / Certifications
