This role involves preparing and assisting the dentist during dental procedures, managing dental instruments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment. The Dental Assistant ensures the safe and effective delivery of dental services in compliance with facility protocols and security standards, while promoting patient well-being through quality care and professional interactions.DENTAL ASSISTANT ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPrepares operatory with appropriate instruments and material for the patients scheduled to be seenAssists dentist during treatment, providing instruments, material retraction or suction. Sterilizes instruments and disinfects operatory between patients. Schedules patients for dental appointmentsPerforms laboratory procedures such as mixing impression material for dentures and assists in the clinical procedures of prosthetic dentistry.Develops and mounts routine radiographs. Assists in maintaining dental charts and records dental findings.Inventories and orders supplies to maintain proper levels.DENTAL ASSISTANT REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS, EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of one year dental assistant experience requiredMust have current CPR certificationDENTAL ASSISTANT SCHEDULEPRNPRN
