Summary:The CNC Machinist
will have a variety of daily responsibilities including operating CNC Machine equipment, gaging parts, making dimensional offsets, preparing raw material, and keeping the area clean.
The machinist will be responsible for routine maintenance on the machines and must also be able to follow specific instructions and work in a safety-oriented manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain CNC equipmentCheck parts off machine to ensure they comply with print specificationsChange tools as necessary to ensure dimensional complianceMake dimensional offsets on computer to ensure complianceMove material or assist with equipment when neededClean work area, including moppingPerform various maintenance activitiesWork with office and supporting departments
Qualification Requirements:
Must be able to read non digital micrometersMust be able to read blue printsMust be able to do mathematics: add, subtract, multiply, divide, geometry and trigonometry.Must be able to lift 50 pounds or moreMust be detail oriented in order to ensure parts meet print specificationsMust be cooperative and a team playerMust have good communication skills
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to:
Sit, stand and walk on oily surfacesMoving material routinelyLift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basisSalary Range:
$18/hour to $25/hour
