Responsibilities:
Using a holistic approach the ideal candidate, designs, develops, evaluates, and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. The Systems Engineer is responsible for effective design, implementation, operation, and maintenance and troubleshooting of the IT infrastructure.
This includes server and storage administration, virtualization, performance tuning, and backup and restore.Leads in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure and ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.Analyze, diagnose and determine root cause of issues, test, communicate, and either resolve or escalate for resolution appropriately.Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of servers, peripheral equipment, and software.Conduct business needs assessments; analyzes costs; develops project plans for application projects; orders necessary equipment; install and/or coordinates installation and reconfigurations; then configure and test procedures and application(s).Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.Develops test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft OS administrationExperience administering and working within a virtualized environmentAbility to articulate technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with various levels of stakeholders.Experience working with ticketing systems (i.e. Jira, ServiceNow, etc)Experience working within classified enterprise networksExperience creating technical documentation to include diagrams, both logical and physicalClearance Required:

4 years of experience operating in an engineering and operations environment with hands on experience in design and implementation of IT solutionsRequired IAT 3 Certs:
One or more of the following: CASP+, CISSP, CISA, CCNP Security, GCED, GCIH, CCSPRequired Vendor Cert:
One or more of the following: Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, Netapp, Pure Storage, HP, Dell, Linux , RedHat. If not currently achieved, then must achieve within 6 months of hirePreferred:
