Registered Nurse - ICU @ Providence Saint Peter Hospital

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: ICU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience License: Valid State License required; RN license in-hand required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS required, NIH preferred Must-Have: Willingness to float between various like units within skill set Job Description: - Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are ineligible for a travel contract. - Floating is required; travelers will regularly float between various like units within their skill set. - First-time travelers accepted. - Weekend work required, every other weekend (EOW). - No on-call requirement. - Not open to accommodating block schedules. - Special equipment used includes ventilators, Impella, IABP, internal thermoregulation, temporary pacemakers, etc. - Patient diagnoses include open heart program care, cath lab patients post-procedures, and general ICU patients (sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, GIB, COVID). - Average daily census: 18-19. - 21-room, 21-bed unit. - Must commit to working 3 of the 5 main holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). - Candidates may be asked to float within the hospital or to a nearby sister hospital. - Required experience with EPIC charting. - Candidates with a pending license accepted; quick starts are preferred. - Providers may be supplied with communication devices needed to perform duties at no additional cost.
