Introduction:

Under general supervision, the Finance Business Analyst analyzes enterprise-wide customer business needs and participates in the planning, design, and implementation of new or enhanced systems that may serve multiple state entities.

Job Summary:

Client is seeking a functional Workday professional with proven experience in several Workday Financial Modules (i.e., Project, Grants & Billing, etc.), with extensive experience working with the Project module, to join our Financial Systems Division. The candidate will work closely with functional and technical teams to implement Workday Financials Project & Grants modules, and experience in Project is a must-have.

Responsibilities:

•Implements Project, Grants & Billing modules.

•Analyzes information to determine the nature and extent of customer requirements and concerns.

•Develops and/or executes change management plans for transition to new systems.

•Consults with the implementation partner and technical staff to ensure that the system functionality adheres to laws, regulations, and best practice standards.

•Tests or coordinates testing of new installations or upgrades.

•Participates in evaluating new technologies, enhancements, or solutions to improve service and efficiency.

•Researches and analyzes system/user problems by applying a variety of analytical and research techniques.

•Participates in establishing standards and procedures for system development.

•Communicates and documents project standards and methodologies.

•Works with other IT units/staff to diagnose problems.

•Develops and conducts training sessions and creates training manuals.

•Acts as a liaison between groups and coordinates between multiple workgroups.

•Conducts quality assessments and ensures customer satisfaction.

Technical Competencies:

•Ability to research, analyze, and make recommendations.

•Strong functional understanding of Workday Financial modules (Project, Grants, Billing).

•Experience in system evaluation and architecture.

•Expertise in developing models, diagrams, and layouts.

•Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

•Experience in business process design, testing, and quality assurance.

•Familiarity with naming conventions, data extraction methods, and operational procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

•4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Project, Grants & Billing modules.

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Information Systems or equivalent.

•4+ years of experience in the Public Sector.

•Prior experience working with the State of GA Financials system.

•Proficiency in translating business needs into functional requirements.

•Ability to develop Workday reports.

•Strong analytical and communication skills.

•Experience working with functional and technical teams.

Education:

Bachelors Degree
