Job Description

This position will assist in the School of Medicine's Office of Culture and Belonging programming, including education & training, research, community outreach, recruitment, and support of faculty, students and staff.

Duties of this position include:

Assists the Office of Culture & Belonging in implementation, execution, and completion of departmental goals.Assists with the pathway programs recruitment, goals, outcomes and activities.Conducts needs assessments to determine the most effective learning activities and curriculum designs that align with pathway programmatic goals, strategies, and competenciesTravels to recruitment opportunities including but not limited to high school and college recruitment and career fairs.Works with students to develop behavior change and soft skills development, as well as an ability to navigate the MCAT.Assists with innovative and evidence-based approaches and course content for Pathway Programs.Assist with pathway programming and tracks pathway program student engagement.Create, and maintains the strategic recruitment plan to recruit for pathway programsCollects and maintains robust data on the Culture & Belongings initiatives and analyzes the metrics for successes.Using a continuous quality improvement process work with the Associate Dean to assist in reviewing and amending the pathway program and the strategic inclusion plan on an ongoing basis.Recommends and implements changes to the SOM pathway program initiatives using a data driven approachServes as a resource for the Inclusion Excellence Award committee (once a year).Prepares data and reports on pathway programs.Assists Associate Dean with oversight of the Office of Culture & Belonging Summer pathway programs.Supports office health disparities research and community-engaged scholarship.Works with community partners to strengthen connections between the School of Medicine and main campus and the greater community.Conducts research as requested and as neededPerforms other duties as assigned or requested.LocationMUSOM - Marshall University School of Medicine

Salary Range$38,722- $50,399- Salary is commensurate with experience and internal equity
