Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: ICU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Guaranteed Hours: - 3, 12-hour shifts - 36 hours in one workweek- 8 and 10-hour shifts - 40 hours in one workweek- 4, 12-hour shifts - 48 hours in one workweek Experience: Minimum 18 months, previous charge experience preferred License: IN or compact license required before submitting Certifications: ACLS, BCLS required; NIH preferred Must-Have: - Comfortable with PCU and MedSurg- Willingness to float within hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals - Previous experience in handling dysrhythmias, cardiac surgery, TAVI/TAVR, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC lines, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips- Preferred experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, sheath removal, ventricular assist devices, ventilator management Job Description: - Work in a mixed acuity unit, required to function across units if necessary- Ratios are 1:5- Comfortable with patient diagnoses related to cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, cardiology, endocrine, and oncology - Must manage the care of patients post cardiac surgery and handle specialized team care in a progressive ICU environment- Handle special equipment in all private rooms including overhead lifts and telemetry- Expected to work two out of three major holidays- Participate in 12-hour orientation- Charting required with Cerner Additional Information: - Every other weekend is required- Open to block schedule discussions- On-call is not required- Work includes managing both medical and surgical patient populations with progressive care needs
