Position Summary:The Manager - Collision Repair Operations will provide leadership, guidance, expertise, development, and support to the Collision Center Managers.

Whether launching a new operation, or working shoulder to shoulder with a seasoned operation, this position is dedicated to the growth and profitability of the collision centers and the overall business unit.

This role serves as a liaison between corporate collision, field leadership, and field collision to ensure the vision is being met with consistent execution.

The Manager

Collision Repair Operations focus includes throughput and efficiency gains, manpower and training oversight, standardization of process and execution, and topline revenue opportunities that include business mix, estimation, and labor/parts rating.

As the trusted advisor, this role perpetuates success in revenue growth, profitability, and the development of the business unit.Major Responsibilities:Execute upon our collision development strategy at the local field levelImplement decisions/actions from cross-functional leadership teams that drive profitable growth and increased capabilitiesImplement the operational requirements needed for the expansion of our footprint into new markets and productsOversee the needs, preparation, and launch of new locations with speed and agility, followed by consistent support to identify and address requirements or constraints for sustainable growth and ensure alignment of local operatorsOptimize the performance of business operations and individual functions with emphasis on enhanced repair capabilities and increased throughput by sharing and directing key collision processes and capabilitiesMonitor compliance with all repair techniques, policies, and procedures to identify gaps and opportunity areas within the current structure and share with the leadership team to develop an action plan for continuous improvementProvide expert consultation to the business on key insights and collaborate with leadership on decisionsDrive collision process, practice, and quality across the enterprise through network alignment that enables measurement and accountability with key focus on standardizationLeverage the drivers of collision excellence to assess standards of performance and work directly with local operations on improvement areasContinually scan operational content looking to optimize collision performance and share best practices with leadershipPartner with respective organizational functions and field leadership to ensure that we hire from a diverse talent pool and approach the retention, development, and promotion of high performing associates with unrelenting focus to ensure we have the best talent across the enterpriseFoster a shared commitment and stewardship to bring new talent into the industry and the organizationIn collaboration with Maintenance Training and Learning & Development, mature our training and development to maximize the strengths and skillsets of our teamActively maintain a working knowledge of changing industry trends, technologies, and regulations to promote innovation and deliver world-class collision offerings that are cutting-edge and customer-centeredExplore, define, share and deploy these new products and services that fulfill the needs of new and existing customersOther projects and tasks as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's Degree preferred.

If no degree, equivalent work experience is required5 years of general/departmental management experience with P&L responsibility.

Industry experience is helpfulIntermediate knowledge of collision repairPrior experience leading teamsStrong analytical skillsMust have project management, maintenance management, and sales management skills/experienceProficiency in Microsoft suiteStrong communication skills, both written and verbalVendor management/sourcing skillsStrong collaboration & organizational skills; ability to navigate cross-business functionsRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the jobWillingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.Physical Requirements:-The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
