About the Job
Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the daily operations of their accounting department. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and account reconciliations. This role is integral in maintaining compliance with GAAP, managing the month-end close process, and supporting the company's financial objectives.

Duties:
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
- Oversee the preparation and review of complex account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead the timely completion of monthly account reconciliations.
- Review and approve reconciliations prepared by staff accountants.
- Create and validate financial reports within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare various audit schedules and assist in year-end audit processes to ensure clean and efficient audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Collaborate with the finance team on key business initiatives.
- Provide guidance and oversight to senior accountants, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead implementation efforts.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 7+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
- 2+ years of direct reports experience.
