Senior Accountant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a CPA firm.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Handle full-cycle accounting duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents.
  • Assist with audit preparations and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to clients and management based on financial analysis.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic financial reviews and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
