Location:
Springfield, MACompensation: Starting at $23/hour depending on experience -- up to $30/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client's growing team. As the Bookkeeper, you will handle a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the company's financial processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for accuracy.

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, and assisting with payroll processing. If you are ready to take on a key role in a supportive work environment, this Bookkeeper position is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger and journal entries.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment of bills and invoices.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and track all financial transactions as the Bookkeeper
  • Assist in payroll processing of 90+ employees, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation.
  • Generate financial reports and assist with month-end close procedures.
  • Manage vendor relationships and handle inquiries related to invoices and payments.
  • Support year-end closing and audit preparation as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in accounting or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
    • Payroll experience is a bonus!
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
