Responsibilities
- Maintain standard cost of raw materials, packaging, labor and finished goods
- Review standard and actual cost variances, provide report to management
- Analyze and review profit margins by category, plant and product line
- Carry out variance analysis such as purchase price variance to cost variance, cost revaluation, invoice to purchase order variances
- Prepare and complete internal cost audits
- Determine estimates of new and proposed product costs
- Generate reports comparing production costs to standard costs and analyze manufacturing variances
- Monitor cycle count programs and conduct physical inventories working with the production plants
- Create, maintain and provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of a standard costing methodology
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience required including 5 years in a cost accounting role
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills
- Strong financial modeling skills, along with strong understanding of pricing standards and variance analysis
- Solid computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and working with ERP/Financial System
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range is $110,000 to $130,000
- Work a hybrid schedule based from their Canton office
