Job DetailsResponsibilities:
As a Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial reports, financial statements, and journal entries.
- Managing the financial aspects of grants, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Analyzing and interpreting complex financial data and providing recommendations based on findings.
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with these policies.
- Managing accrued revenue, expenditures, and depreciation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Allocating expenses and managing patient revenue entries.
- Providing financial guidance and support to other departments within the organization.
- Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Interacting with various senior stakeholders and other team members to ensure alignment and achievement of business goals.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
- Proficiency in Abila MIP or equivalent financial management software.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, journal entries, accrued revenue, expenditures, grants, depreciation, and expense allocation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive financial planning.
- Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to a non-financial audience.
- High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
