Our client is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team and manage the day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle the full accounting cycle independently. This position requires expertise in bookkeeping and financial reporting, as well as a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including the general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Handle payroll processing, including tax filings and benefits administration.
- Prepare financial reports and present them to management for decision-making.
- Assist with budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and prepare tax filings.
- Maintain and organize all financial records and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals during audits or tax preparations.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Use accounting software to manage all bookkeeping functions.
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software MS Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience.
- Experience with payroll, tax preparation, and financial reporting.
