Responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management
• Supervise the Finance Department team
• Prepare federal grant reports quarterly and annually
• Monitor and update distribution codes for cost allocation
• Test and maintain accounting system updates
• Complete year-end reconciliations and coordinate audits with external CPA
• Provide Form 990 Tax information to auditors
• Oversee grant contract reviews and negotiations
• Administer payroll, including bi-weekly processing and federal/state returns
• Manage outsourced HR vendor and benefits negotiations
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable processes
• Prepare and analyze annual budget, and meet with program managers on grant performance
• Ensure internal controls and procedures are followed and improved
• Support agency projects and team goals
• Lead by example and adhere to organizational policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What the company needs in a Accounting Supervisor:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• 5+ of Accountant experience
• Management/Supervisory experience required
• CPA Designation preferred
• Non-Profit Experience preferred
• Budgeting and expense management/control experience
