We are actively seeking candidates for the Staff Accountant position for a leading electric distribution utility company located in the Piqua, OH area
This is a full-time hybrid position with a salary range starting at $65,000

- Payroll management: Process payroll, maintain records, administer benefits, and ensure compliance with policies.
- Accounts payable: Process payments, prepare checks/ACHs, and analyze accounts.
- Financial tasks: Handle credit card reconciliations, assist with budgeting, perform general ledger functions, and manage accounts receivable processes.
- Reporting and auditing: Prepare year-end entries and reports, interface with auditors as needed.
- Ad hoc assignments as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 1-3 years of prior experience in accounting preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proven track record of maintaining accuracy in dynamic work environments
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities
