Accounting Manager

Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing privately-held company in Baltimore, MD(county) is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join their team! The company has been in existence for over 100 years and provides stability, growth, and flexibility to their employees!

This position is in office, however they offer a TON of FLEXIBILITY, 40 hour work weeks, and down the line an option for some hybrid work!

Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Manage and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors as necessary.
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information through rigorous review and analysis.

Accounting Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• 8+years accounting experience
• Supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
