Our client, based in White Plains, is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing weekly payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll for approximately 300-350 non-exempt employees
  • Ensure all payroll data is entered into the payroll system by the end of day every Tuesday
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, files, and reports
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries
  • Prepare and distribute pay stubs/checks on scheduled pay dates
  • Comply with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and laws
  • Process payroll deductions, garnishments, and tax payments
  • Assist with year-end payroll processing and annual reporting

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Coordinator or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of payroll principles, regulations, and best practices
  • Proficiency with payroll software/systems - ideally Paylocity
  • Excellent data entry skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to meet strict weekly deadlines
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma required, some college coursework preferred
