Job Description

Essential Functions

Contact vendors and shippers to check status of orders and ensure that merchandise, supplies, and equipment are forwarded on specified shipping datesConfer with company personnel, vendors, and customers to coordinate shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delaysCommunicate transportation company to preclude delays in transit, puts tracers on shipment in cases of en route delays, and may arrange for distribution of materials upon arrivalPerforms other duties as requiredCompetencies

Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Software, excellent skills in Excel, and other company specific software applications preferredAbility to communicate clearly, both written and verballyMust be detail oriented with the ability to multi-taskAbility to prepare for emerging customer needsEffective analytical and problem-solving skillsEducation and Experience

Minimum 1 year of directly related training or experienceHigh school Diploma or GED requiredCollege degree(s) preferred
