**Job Description:**- Provide care in the Surgical Intermediate Care Unit with a focus on patients with complex medical needs.- Manage patient diagnoses such as post-operative day 1 craniotomies, neurosurgeries, and abdominal surgeries.- Demonstrate expertise in handling surgical trauma, chest tubes, cardiac drips titration, telemetry, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen.- Work with patient cases involving continuous BiPap, HFNC, chronic mechanical ventilation, insulin infusions, arrhythmia management, trauma patients, sepsis, stroke rapid response transfers.- Manage a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio.- Weekend work required every third weekend.- No on-call required; may float within scope based on facility needs.- Potential block scheduling at the manager's discretion.- Initial orientation includes up to 8 hours of mandatory modules within the first week.- Must not have holiday-requested time off for Christmas.- First-time travelers accepted, locals accepted, candidates may float within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
