Warehouse Associate
Artful Home is looking for a team player, who appreciates what we do, to join our dynamic warehouse team in Madison, WI (McAllens Way). The successful candidate will safely fulfill warehouse activities related to our apparel line, including but not limited to: receiving, shipping, inspection, order fulfillment to include picking and packaging orders, and inventory maintenance of all stocked apparel items.
Responsibilities Include:Receive incoming apparel accurately and promptly, verify the quantity and description of apparel received, enter quantity received into the system and prepare the necessary reports.Assist in unloading trucks as required using pallet jacks (no forklift operation & no heavy lifting required), unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject defective or damaged items; report/record any discrepancies.Prepare, label and place apparel on shelves, in racks or in other designated areas in an orderly manner.Check, verify, pick and package orders to be shipped to customers and/or review other orders to determine if orders are correct. Process apparel returns.Scan picked items from inventory, prepare packages for mailing, gift wrap items upon request, prepare necessary shipping documentation, and stage shipped packages for carrier pick-up.Maintain inventory by identifying and counting inventoried materials as listed on the count list, perform cycle counts as necessary noting any discrepancies, and update inventory software.The Successful Candidate Will Possess:
Education, training, and experience equivalent to a high school diploma.A solid knowledge and understanding of warehouse and inventory procedures (a plus).Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in written form, and work with team members at all levels within the organization.Ability to operate all equipment following safety guidelines.Ability to operate standard business machines to include a computer, keyboard, calculator, telephone, photocopier, and utilize Microsoft products.Ability to maintain attention to detail and pursue quality while accomplishing tasks.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.Ability to adapt to changing business needs, conditions, schedules and work responsibilities.Ability to work general hours of 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday and 2 Saturdays, with the flexibility to fluctuate at times based on organizational needs.Ability to work onsite 100% of the time.
