Avalon Health Care Management, Inc. is hiring an Accounting Manager to come join our outstanding team!

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team. The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. This position plays a critical role in managing the company's financial processes, implementing best practices, and providing insights to drive strategic decision-making.

Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to ensure alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.Coordinate and assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving issues promptly.Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing financial reports and tax documents as necessary.Monitor compliance with financial covenants.Develop and manage the company's annual budget, forecasting, and financial planning.Implement and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.Supervise and provide leadership, training, and development to accounting staff.Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insight and ensure alignment with overall company goals.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or CMA certification preferred.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office, particularly Excel.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.Experience in managing and mentoring a team.
