Job Responsibilities Organizes and monitors inventory, loads and unloads materials, documents orders, and manifests. Assist with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization effortsHelp to efficiently carryout all product loading and unloading tasksReceive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documentsInspect receivables for defects, damages, or missing itemsUnload, stack, move, and place products in appropriately designated areasMove and transfer products between various sections of the warehouse as neededUse forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts etc. to transfer and deliver goodsPerform detailed manual inventory countsLabel warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrievalStack, shelve, and stage items for storage and shipment as necessaryFulfill and track outgoing ordersCollect, prepare, package, and label goods for shipmentDouble-check items to verify accuracy of outgoing ordersOperate floor sweeperEnsure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working orderReport any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper managementFollow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulationsWear protective clothing and equipment as requiredOperate tools and machinery safely and efficiently according to company protocolWork with other warehouse team members to effectively complete assigned tasksDuties related to Hazardous Waste ManagementCandidate Qualifications/ Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalentPrevious experience with shipping/receiving hazardous materialsFamiliar with hazardous material manifesting requirementsPrevious warehouse experience preferredForklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift trainingExcellent verbal communicatorComputer literateFamiliar with common warehouse tools and equipmentThorough, alert, and detail-orientedDependable and responsibleStrong work ethicComfortable working independentlyMakes safety a priorityKoppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
