Job Type Part-timeDescriptionWe are seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant to work at a county jail(s) in the Brazos County Area. Professional will be providing on-site dental care in collaboration with a Dentist, in a controlled/safe environment This opportunity provides a great source of supplemental income and a valuable experience in a public health setting, while making a difference in health outcomes for incarcerated individuals.Responsibilities: Set-up and breakdown of room.Sterilization of all equipment.Take/process x-rays.Assist in 4-handed dentistry.Work with portable/mobile equipment. Requirements Graduate of Dental Assistant Program or on the job trainingOne (1) year or more dental assisting experience - preferredActive x-Ray CertificationCPR/BLSValid Driver LicenseReliable TransportationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skillsIf you are made a conditional offer of employment, you will be required to undergo background check (including criminal record check) and drug screening.
