SCOPE & AUTHORITY•The scope of work shall include all manufacturing areas of the Piney Flats siteREPORTING RELATIONSHIPS•The Position reports to the Shift Process SupervisorRESPONSIBILITIES•Follow written instructions including user guides, work aids, and control plans•Responsible for helping the Banbury operator monitor the amount of compound on the floor and keeping it warm•Operates Strainer Extruder to insure proper blending/straining of final mix, grinds or master-batches. •Cuts Grinds and master-batches to required weight and places on carts.•Changes screens as necessary in the extruder head.•Follows set process parameters.•Works safely and exhibits behaviors consistent with the Microporous core values including contributions to the ISO Quality program and Environmental Safety and Health Policy•Will perform other duties as requested by Team Leaders and supervision.Safety ES&H•Understand the importance of conformance to the environmental policy procedures and the requirements of the EMS•Understand the environmental impacts associated with their work activities and the environmental benefits of improved personal performance•Understand their role in achieving conformance with the environmental policy, relevant procedures, and the requirements of the EMS, including emergency preparedness and response•Understand the potential consequences of deviation from specified operating procedures.•Comply with all environmental, safety, and health rules, policies, and programs established by the company to the extent of training received•Immediately, report any accidents and releases to the Supervisor•Recognize that adhering to job responsibilities and procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety is a condition of employmentRequirementsEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma. Previous manufacturing experience is desirable.Physical Demands•Regularly required to lift up to 30 lbs. Pushing/pulling, sitting, and twisting•Frequently required to lift up to 35 lbs. Moving about on the production floor and some reaching•Occasionally there may be some bending and climbing.
