Gator Bio is a fast-growing bioanalytical company with a strong team, amazing technologies, and solid financial backers. We are executing the plan to build a leading brand in the life science tool business. Our first product line consists of fiber optic biosensor solutions to accelerate and simplify therapeutic development, life science research, and biomarker discovery. Our software is FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant. Gator Bio's customers include pharma, biopharma, biotech, CRO's, CDMO's, and academic research labs. We sell to North America, APAC, and Europe.
We are looking for a seasoned professional, well-versed in the life science tool business, to join the senior management team and lead our sales organization in North America. The ideal candidate will work in-person at our headquarters in Palo Alto, California and is willing to travel up to 75% of time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute a sales plan to sell capital equipment and consumables topharma, biopharma, biotech, CRO, CDMO, and academic research customers in the US and CanadaAchieve or exceed annual sales targets consistentlySupervise and help regional sales managersmeet their targetsManage field application and customer service teamsCommunicate with CEO and leadership team regularly on sales and market statusMentor sales team members to achieve both company's and personal goalsBuild a qualified prospect base, with the goal of closing sales to meet revenue targetsCreateaccurate sales forecastsBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationshipsPartner with customers to understand their business needs and objectivesEnforce the use ofCRM tools such as SalesForce and NetSuiteUnderstand competitive landscape and market trendsAttend trade shows, generate leads, and expand the company's customer baseEnsure every customer's successCoordinate efforts and activities with internal departments including Marketing and R&DPlan and organize internal sales meetingsQualifications
Demonstrated ability to manage a $50M annual revenue sales organizationSuccessful experience as a national sales team leader with a proven track recordStrong desire for great successHands-onexperience in life sciences analytical tool spaceExposure to molecular interaction techniques such as SPR, BLI, ITC, etc. preferredKnowledge of analytical technologies for antibodies, proteins, small molecules, gene therapy, and cell therapy, etc.Demonstrated ability to meet sales forecasts and generate recurring revenue streamStrong leadership with outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skillsGreat planning, organizational, and creative thinking skillsStrategic thinker and entrepreneurial spiritFamiliaritywith CRM technologies and toolsBasic knowledge of digital marketingUnderstanding financial statementsDegree in life sciences related fields preferredPhysical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move up to 40 lbsThis role will require long periods of standing, walking, and sittingThe employee will be required to use hands for computer workMust pass a health screeningDomestic and international travel: Required
