Growing together.Primary Responsibilities:Enter prescriptions from intake to order completion and verify member / patient dataContact patients, pharmacists, and doctor's offices as a liaison for the pharmacy teamCommunicate clearly and concisely via phone and electronic methods to patients, physicians, and other healthcare providersContact patients to complete refill assessments, request payment information, establish delivery details, and set up treatment in the Ambulatory Infusion Suite and/or other outpatient facilitiesAccess, input, and retrieve prescription and medical/lab information from computer systemVerify whether medication is reimbursable, and resolve rejected claimsProcess prescription refills and interpret supply needs as related to various therapiesResolve customer issues, ensuring accurate information is providedAble to multitask and channel communication from various business partners, driving patient centric quality careFollow all State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality code of ethicsWork within a team to triage and respond to all compounding needs promptlyMaintain ongoing didactic and practical training related to sterile compoundingYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy TechnicianActive and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the State of OhioIntermediate level of proficiency with Windows PC applications including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applicationsAbility to stand, walk, and lift to 30 lbs.Preferred Qualifications:National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)Previous Home Infusion experiencePharmacy/prescription data entry experienceAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
