X-Ray Technician - San Diego, CA (New grads are accepted)

Job Type: Full Time

Shifts: Days (Monday 8am - 4:30pm) No Weekends

Roles and Responsibilities: Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Applies established and accepted radiographic protocols for optimal patient care.

Physical Demands:

• Work may require standing for long periods of time also sitting, bending, stooping, and stretching to provide patient care.
• Occasional lifting supplies weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Occasionally assisting patients with weight bearing up to 100 lbs. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate radiographic and film processing equipment.
• Requires manual dexterity sufficient to assist in general clinical or orthopedic functions, operation of a computer keyboard, telephone, FAX, copier and other office equipment as necessary.
• Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on a computer and work in an environment which can be fast paced and demanding.

• Radiological Technician Certified Required.
• Two years' experience in medical setting.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards.
