Job Description
We are expanding our staff in our Sarasota, Florida location and seek the following candidate.
The Branch Manager position will report to a Principal level staff member within our Building Envelope / Existing Building division and will involve a variety of general functions, including but not limited to:
- Well-versed in all phases of consulting projects in the following areas:
- Structural Inspections
- Reserve Studies
- Water Intrusion Investigation
- Property Turnover Surveys
- Concrete Restoration
- Painting and Waterproofing
- Asset Life cycle Analysis (ROI)
- Property Conditions Surveys
- Asphalt Pavement Evaluations
- Roof Consulting & Design
- Expert Witness Services
- Building Sciences
- Project Management
- Building Envelope
- Milestone Inspections
- Successful completion and history of managing projects and deliverables.
- Conduct project level review and progress with Project Managers on designated assignments.
- Review written reports and documents on project related activity.
- Maintain updated knowledge of building codes in local markets.
- Assess technical needs on projects and request support for work requirements.
- Communicate effectively and establish relationships with clients and job-related management teams.
- Break down technical needs\deliverable and assist in managing budgetary requirements related to assigned projects.
- Provide visibility to Principal in charge of status, timelines, key concerns.
- Assist in billing review and collections where necessary.
- Provide manpower updates and resource availability.
- Participate in corporative initiatives and associate level meetings to determine future protocol and\or procedures.
- Assist Principal in charge with new proposal estimates.
- Assist Principal in charge in solicitation of new business.
- Respond and effectively communicate with clients when project emergencies arise.
- Manage staff or team and provide an atmosphere consistent with mentoring.
- Assist Principal in charge with P&L review.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager
- Minimum of 10 years working with building envelope / existing building project experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering / structural engineering.
- Professional Engineer status required.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent PC computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word or suitable document writing programs.
- Must demonstrate an ability to work in a dynamic team environment, to think outside the box, and solve complex problems.
- Ability to be detail oriented as well as see the bigger picture.
