Description
We are currently seeking a full or part-time Dental Hygienist in Floodwood, MN to support our dental clinic. Our dental teams enjoy a positive and fast-paced environment in modern and well equipped facilities. This position will deliver direct patient care as assigned using established dental hygienist procedures. The full-time schedule for this position is Mon - Thurs, 8am-5:30pm. A part-time schedule is 2-3 days per week.

We currently serve an 8,300 square mile area with seven medical clinics and four dental clinics. Scenic Rivers Health Services is associated with critical access hospitals in Cook and Bigfork, allowing us to provide patient care 24 hours a day.

Requirements
Dental Hygienist Requirements:
We are currently seeking a full or part-time Dental Hygienist in Floodwood, MN to support our dental clinic. Our dental teams enjoy a positive and fast-paced environment in modern and well equipped facilities. This position will deliver direct patient care as assigned using established dental hygienist procedures. The full-time schedule for this position is Mon - Thurs, 8am-5:30pm. A part-time schedule is 2-3 days per week.
Dental Hygienist Responsibilities:
- Review and record patient medical histories and dental charting
- Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments
- Perform root planning and scaling procedures for the treatment of gum disease
- Examine patient gums and teeth for signs of disease, charting conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment from dentist
- Administer local anesthetic agents under dentist's general supervision
- Operate X-ray machines
- Provide patient education to assist with developing and maintaining good oral hygiene
- Maintain, sterilize, and sharpen dental equipment
- Typical patient visits are scheduled in 60 minute increments. None production environment

Requirements
Dental Hygienist Requirements:
