Brunswick believes “Next Never Rests™,” and we offer a variety of exciting careers and growth opportunities within united teams defining the future of marine recreation.The primary responsibility of the club manager is to ensure all dock employees are properly trained, to provide exceptional service to our members, and to maintain an impeccably clean and ship fleet. In addition to running the daily logistics of the club location, you will be expected to perform all duties required of the Dock Masters. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.Job Responsibilities:Hire, train, and supervise all dock-level personnel to ensure our members receive the highest level of service at all club locationsMaintain a cooperative, team attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employeesDevelop weekly dock staff schedule to maximize efficiency and review and approve payroll.You should insert yourself into the schedule for a minimum of 30 hours per week.Review and analyze member comment cards on a weekly basis and take appropriate action as requiredEnsure all best practices are followed to provide consistent service as detailed in our dock manualEnsure all dock staff provides the “Red Carpet” Treatment our members deserve.Establishing specific member meet and greet procedures in addition to boarding and disembarking proceduresDevelop a weekly schedule to ensure all boats are receiving a routine weekly cleaning as detailed in the manualSubmit work orders to the Fleet Manager to ensure all fleet needs are being addressed on timeInvestigate member misconduct and submit all incident reports to the main officeCorrespond with members on all dock-related issues including but not limited to complaints, fuel disputes, vessel damages, and miscellaneous dock chargesEnsure adequate supply levels are being maintained at each location.Oversee the weekly paperwork submissions to the home officeOversee and track fuel logs and vessel fuelingAcquaint yourself with local marina managers/harbor masters and promote a positive working relationship in all marinasBecome familiar with local waterways and popular boating destinations surrounding your club and adhere to all safety policiesEnsure that all dock staff are following proper protocol regarding prospective members so they can be compensated for their effortsOversee that the boats are clean and the members are happyQualifications:High School degreeMust be at least 21 years oldBoating experience in and around boats is desirableAbility to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activityHighly effective communication skills and friendly customer service are requiredMust be a self-starter and capable of working unsupervisedHigh attention to detailAbility to perform minor boat maintenance (engine oil, drive oil, filters, bilge pump, etc)Physical ability to lift / carry up to 30 lbsPhysical ability to board and un-board boats dozens of times per dayPhysical ability to clean boats often using a mounted brushOccasional kneeling / stooping to clean the interior of boat compartmentsVision adequate to read / manipulate hand-held computer tabletsPreferred Qualifications:Bilingual in SpanishNext is Now!We value growth and development, recognizing that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
