We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Testing Coordinator to join our team and ensure that our products exceed the highest quality, usability, and performance standards.

Job Overview:

The Testing Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software and systems. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing comprehensive testing plans that evaluate the software's quality, usability, and adherence to requirements. You will collaborate closely with development teams, project managers, business stakeholders, and management to communicate testing results and ensure all project deliverables meet the necessary standards.

Essential Job Duties: Test Plan Development:
  • Design and document detailed test plans, test cases, and scenarios for user acceptance testing (UAT) and regression testing.
  • Understand the current system setup, including its full functionality and limitations, to ensure accurate and comprehensive testing.
  • Collaborate with IT and business partners to develop and refine testing strategies that align with project objectives.
Test Execution and Analysis:
  • Conduct tests to evaluate software and systems for quality, usability, and compliance with requirements.
  • Analyze test results, identify any defects or issues, and work with the development team to resolve them.
  • Monitor testing progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet project timelines and deliverables.
Reporting and Communication:
  • Report testing results to IT teams, business stakeholders, and management, ensuring clear communication of any issues or concerns.
  • Provide detailed observations and recommendations based on test findings to support decision-making and project success.
  • Ensure all testing documentation and reports adhere to established standards and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other key stakeholders to ensure that testing aligns with project goals and timelines.
  • Engage in strategic projects to ensure the testing team delivers the required functionality within the agreed timeframes.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all testing-related activities, fostering strong relationships across departments.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in software programming, test design, and quality assurance practices.
  • Contribute to continuously improving testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Lead efforts to build and strengthen the foundation of a formal configuration and testing program within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in testing and test design
  • Working knowledge of programming and the software development process
  • Good organizational skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and strong critical-thinking skills
  • Strong understanding and experience in Project Methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, including experience meeting with and presenting information to senior leadership and internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving scenario
  • Able to comprehend new concepts, ask pertinent questions, execute and document ideas and concepts with minimal day-to-day direction
  • Proven competency using Microsoft applications, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration
  • Test automation experience
  • Experience in the insurance industry
