The ideal individual will have a solid technical background, an interest in continued academic and professional growth, and an ability to work well and collegially in an interdisciplinary team.What we’re offering:Join a division of 4 head and neck surgeons and department of 14 full-time physicians, 13 advanced practice providers, 9 audiologists and 22 speech-language pathologistsDivision sees over 500 new cancer patients per year and performs 40-60 free flaps and 20-30 pedicled flaps on average per yearStrong referral base from Lancaster, Reading, Lebanon Veterans Hospital, Gettysburg, and HarrisburgGrowing clinical trial portfolio with 5 co-op trials currently open with 3 trials in the pipelineFleet of da Vinci robots at Hershey, including da Vinci SPCollaborative care with neurosurgery, dermatology and Mohs surgeons, plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, medical oncology and radiation oncologyParticipation in medical student, resident and fellow educationAppointment at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level, dependent on qualificationsCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive salary – guaranteed base salary with opportunity for both productivity and academic bonusesHealth, dental, vision, life, disability, and malpractice insurance20 days of vacation10 days of CME401k match up to 10%Position RequirementsM.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or equivalent degreeBC/BE Otolaryngology and completion of a Head and Neck fellowshipExperience treating a wide spectrum of head and neck surgical oncology including training in microvascular reconstructionAbility to acquire license to practice in the State of PennsylvaniaMust be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificatesThis job description is a general outline of duties performed and is not to be misconstrued as encompassing all duties performed within the position.
