Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, to patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This role is crucial in helping our patients achieve their recovery goals and maintain long-term sobriety.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team
Prescribe and manage medication regimens, ensuring patient safety and compliance
Provide psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education activities
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification in Psychiatry
Valid medical license to practice in Texas
Experience in addiction psychiatry or substance abuse treatment preferred
Strong understanding of psychiatric medications and their interactions with substances of abuse
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practices
