Senior

Underwriter , you'll be responsible for product set-up and quality assurance of underwriting processes.

You'll have the opportunity to work in an established, innovative industry supporting travel ecommerce and agency teams through risk assessment of new and existing clients gained from analyzing company, client, channel, product, and industry data and trends while ensuring quality assurance of underwriting processes.

This is a U.S. based remotejob reporting to the Director of Underwriting.

What you will Do

Responsible for product set-up and quality assurance of underwriting processes.Set premium rates for existing insurance and non-insurance programs as well as new business prospects and new products.Facilitate discussions/negotiations to gain consensus on product pricing and new product development with LOBs.Evaluate accounts for special commissions or exceptions to identify any overlaps.Assist in developing and managing new products, team with compliance and actuarial services.Gather and compile underwriting data upon request to evaluate profitability of a particular line of business; design and produce standardized and ad-hoc reports as needed.Maintain underwriting records; manage quality of databases used to produce analyses and update and maintain pertinent data.Enhance current pricing tools and develop new pricing models and/or tools.Liaise with clients to answer any questions and resolve issues promptly and professionally.May perform other duties as assigned.What you will bring

Bachelor's degree in business, Mathematics or related field or equivalent combination of training, education, and relevant experience.Seven (7) years underwriting experience in affinity, short-tail, accident and health, or property and casualty insurance OR (7) years equivalent experience in roles with significant exposure to risk assessment; financial, data and statistical analysis, and decision-making in insurance or related fieldsCommercial underwriting experience preferred and FLMI and/or CPCU is preferred.Experience in the insurance or healthcare industry preferred.
